Main Expo Hall - 8 AM - 3PM

1. VERSUS EXPO - COMBAT GRAPPLING TOURNAMENT | R350.00

Compete in the first Versus combat grappling event. This is a no-Gi event. Once payment is received, we will then send you a link to register as well as your ticket. On the day, make the weight indicated on the registration form and fight for your chance of getting gold. Regrettably no under-18's can compete in this event.

More information regarding the event: Prizes: Beginner and Advanced division - Medals for Top 3 of each weight division. Advanced division - Rash guards for winner of each weight class.

Division and Weight Classes - (only Adults 18+):

The divisions will be as follows:

Beginner – White and Blue belts Advanced – Purple, Brown, and Black belts. Men -60kg, -65kg, -70kg, -76kg, -83kg, -91kg, -100kg and +100kg

Equipment:

Fighter may use tights, shorts, T-shirt, rash guard. Mouth guard is mandatory.

Combat Grappling Rules:

- You can only win by submission or TKO – no point system.

- A single 5-minute round.

- Open hand slaps and strikes are allowed when the competition is fully on the ground.

- There is no stand up striking allowed. Along with this, no closed fist strikes are allowed.

- Standing grappling is only allowed for 1 minute straight, after that a horn will be sounded and the referee will put the fight on the ground.

- To decide this, they’ll flip a coin to determine who will have what position.

- You can decide to be on top in butterfly guard with double underhooks or if you lose, you’ll be on the bottom.

- All submissions are considered legal. If there’s no winner after the single 5-minute round, then the fight goes into overtime. Knockout Rounds.

Mat: 1 Time: 8AM - 9AM Join South African boxing legend Sebastiaan Rothmann in a fun and educational seminar where he will be covering specific boxing techniques.

6. VERSUS EXPO - DRICUS DU PLESSIS SEMINAR | R300.00

Date: 23 October Venue: Versus Expo, Heartfelt Arena Mat: 1 Time: 9AM - 10AM Join UFC middleweight & the King of South-African MMA in a fun and educational Wrestling for MMA seminar.

7. VERSUS EXPO - DANELLA ELIASOV SEMINAR | R300.00

Date: 23 October Venue: Versus Expo, Heartfelt Arena Mat: 2 Time: 9AM - 10AM Danella is a former professional fighter and EFC athlete . Join her for a ladies self-defence seminar, all ages and skill levels welcome.

8. VERSUS EXPO - DRICUS & SEBASTIAAN SEMINAR BUNDLE | R400.00

Get both the boxing and the MMA seminar together for one superb price!

- On Mat 1 from 8AM - 9AM join South African boxing legend Sebastiaan Rothmann in a fun and educational seminar where he will be covering specific boxing techniques.
